Kim Nelson is a filmmaker, an Associate Professor, and Director of the Humanities Research Group, at the University of Windsor. Her documentaries have screened at film festivals in the United States and Canada, as well as being shown on university campuses in Canada and Europe. She has received the University of Windsor Award for Excellence in Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity and has held fellowships with the Cinema Research Institute at New York University, 2015-2016, the Humanities Research Group, at the University of Windsor, 2013-2014 and the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst) in Potsdam 2012-13. Her work has been funded by The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Windsor Endowment of the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council. Her latest project, 130 Year Road Trip Live, premiered at the Windsor International Film Festival in 2016.
